On Jan. 23, Evanston police detectives took two female juveniles into custody in connection with a robbery that was reported on Jan. 10 at approximately 12:05 a.m. in the 800 block of Judson, said Commander Joseph Dugan of the Evanston Police Department. The victim was followed by the offenders from the Main street CTA station to the 800 block of Judson where they took her cellular phone by force, he said.
Evanston Police detectives with the assistance of CTA security officers were able to obtain video of the suspects and subsequently identify and arrest two of the juveniles involved in the incident, said Commander Dugan. The juveniles are both residents of Chicago, ages 13 and 14. Both were charged with robbery, he said. Evanston police detectives also learned that a third female juvenile was involved in the incident, but have been unable to locate her at this time, said the Commander.
