The City of Evanston will host an open house public meeting to present thematic landscape options for the viaduct enhancement at Green Bay Rd., Ridge Ave. and Emerson St., and the Green Bay Rd. corridor, from Emerson St. to McCormick Blvd. 

The meeting will be held on Wednesday, February 11, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the Hilton Garden Inn Chicago North Shore/Evanston, 1818 Maple Ave., in Evanston. 

The purpose of the meeting is to:

  • Present varying landscape styling treatments for the Emerson/Ridge/Green Bay intersection;
  • Explore how these styling treatments could be carried out throughout this segment of the Green Bay Rd. corridor;
  • Present concept alternatives for improvements at the Emerson/Ridge/Green Bay intersection; and
  • Gauge the public’s receptiveness and response to the varying landscape themes. 

During the meeting, City staff and consultants will present exhibits exploring the different landscape themes with illustrative plans, sketches and styling images.
