As part of a new community engagement initiative, the Evanston Fire Department, in collaboration with the City’s Health & Human Services Department, will hold free monthly health care clinics at Evanston fire stations, conducting health care screenings and providing health-related education for the public.

Health care screenings will include blood pressure, pulse and blood glucose level checks. Health education topics will vary each month, with a subject matter expert on hand to deliver information and distribute related materials. All members of the public are welcome to attend.

The clinics will be held once a month, with the location rotating among the City’s fire stations. The City of Evanston’s website calendar will be updated monthly to inform the public of the location, time and subject matter of each month’s clinic.

The Fire Department’s inaugural Health Care Clinic will be held from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Feb. 19 at  Fire Station 1, 1332 Emerson St., Evanston

The health education topic for the inaugural clinic will be diabetes awareness. All members of the public are invited!
