The City’s Public Art Committee announces the launch of the second annual “Evanston Winter HeARTh” series with “SplatterDance” on Feb. 15.
From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. community members are invited to put their feet to good use and dance in full color at “SplatterDance,” just outside of the Davis Metra stop, 909 Davis Plaza.
In partnership with Downtown Evanston, Northwestern University’s Dance Marathon team will teach attendees a few simple steps and have them re-create the dance on a blank canvas wearing painted shoes. Although the paint is washable, dancers are advised to wear old shoes and will be provided with protective covers for their footwear.
