Cari Levin, Director of Evanston CASE (Citizens for Appropriate Special Education) and a licensed clinical social worker with more than 20 years experience, presents a workshop entitled How to Advocate for Your Special Needs Child at School. The workshop will be be held on Wednesday, March 25, from 7PM to 8:30PM in the Evanston Public Library Community Meeting Room.
Levin’s presentation will focus on how to form a successful advocacy and strategy team for your child in pursuit of meeting their needs at school. Parents will learn about their rights, the IEP process, and how to hold the school accountable for providing needed services. Levin is in private practice as a special education advocate; she is the Founding Director of Evanston CASE which was established in 2007. She is the parent of a special needs child.
