Evanston Community Television and Piven Theatre Workshops have formed a new educational partnership to bring on-camera programming to the studios of ECTV!

Located at 2020 Asbury Avenue, ECTV shares Piven’s commitment to helping individuals share their voice and artistry with the wider community. On-Camera Technique for High Schoolers is held on Saturdays from 2:00 p. m. – 4:00 p. m. through March 21st.

On-Camera Technique: Auditioning for Film and Television with Ryan Kitley will be offered for adults. Classes will be held April 15 through May 20 from 7:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. Students will practice audition technique and learn the skills that set on-camera work apart from the theatrical auditioning process. Instructor Ryan Kitley will prepare students to audition for everything from one-liners to series regular to feature film auditions. Students will learn exercises to become comfortable in front of the camera and work with scenes pulled from a variety of films and shows shot in the Chicagoland area. Interested adults may contact Piven Theatre Workshop at www.piventheatre.org or call the School: 847.866.6597.

ECTV is so excited to be working with Piven’s teachers and students on this opportunity to expand programming and form mutually beneficial relationships with community groups. ECTV is a non-profit public access TV station, airing on Comcast Channel 6, and on the Internet and On Demand at www.ectv.com.
