Cari Levin, Director of Evanston CASE (Citizens for Appropriate Special Education) and a licensed clinical social worker with more than 20 years experience, presents a workshop titled “How to Advocate for Your Special Needs Child at School.” The workshop will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on March 25 in the community meeting room of the Main Library, 1703 Orrington Ave.
Ms. Levin’s presentation will focus on how to form a successful advocacy and strategy team for your child in pursuit of meeting his or her needs at school. Parents will learn about their rights, the IEP process, and how to hold the school accountable for providing needed services. No registration is necessary.
Ms. Levin is the founding director of Evanston CASE and is the parent of a special needs child.
