Evanston Township High School students participated in an engineering competition sponsored by the Technology Student Association, with ETHS teams representing three of the four top teams at the regional event on Feb. 27, 2015. TEAMS (Tests of Engineering Aptitude, Mathematics and Science) is a one-day competition that allows students to apply their knowledge of skills in science, technology, engineering and mathematics to global issues.

Six teams from ETHS participated in all, coached by ETHS teachers Mark Vondracek and Russ Kohnken.

ETHS seniors on the second-place team were Benedict Brady, Rebecca Conover, Ben Foutty, Micaela Homer, Rachel Kornbluh, Justin Liao, Aly Singleton and Nate Umbanhowar. Two ETHS teams tied for third place. The team of seniors included Emma Chanen, Loudon Cohen, Sean Finn-Samuels, John Hruska, Ryan Landis, Jordan Rosen-Kaplan, Graham Straus and Camilla Zecker. The team of juniors included Matteo DiBernardo, Zane Kashner, Colby Lewis, Nora Linzer, Nick Shankar, Peter Sparks, Abby Steman and Sam Weidner.
