First Bank & Trust has launched “FB&T People Pay,” which allows customers to transfer money to others electronically.
The bank says People Pay is “an easy and secure way to send money to someone when you do not have cash or checks on hand” – such as for paying a babysitter, splitting the tab at a restaurant or buying items at a garage sale.
“People are so used to doing everything on their mobile phones, and now they will be able to send money to anyone quickly and easily on the go,” said Michael Yohanan, assistant vice president of marketing for First Bank & Trust.
