The public is invited to attend the annual “Parent-to-Parent” program, sponsored by ETHS Parents Engaged, ethsparentsengaged.com, which will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on May 5 in Room E-112 at Evanston Township High School, 1600 Dodge Ave.

Parents and guardians of next fall’s ETHS freshman class members are invited to hear from and speak to parents of current students about high school life, including course options, extra-curricular activities, college planning, social events and more.

Parents of current ETHS students will be on hand to answer questions, including how to effectively use resources at ETHS and how best to navigate the high school years. Parents are encouraged to bring questions.

“This is a great opportunity for parents to come and ask questions they might not otherwise be able to find the answers to readily,” said Parents Engaged steering committee member, Jane McCarthy, who is helping to coordinate the event. “When parents engage with other parents, there’s an immediate connection. They can get their questions answered from an experienced parent’s perspective and eliminate the guesswork about any number of topics related to their own student’s future experience at ETHS.”

Parents of older ETHS students are welcome to join the conversation. No reservations are necessary and refreshments will be served.
