The Evanston Public Library Outreach staff will be in City parks this summer in connection with the City of Evanston’s Summer Food Services Program, which provides free meals to Evanston youth through the age of 18. On select days, outreach librarians will bring the Summer Reading Program to the parks during lunchtime so that youth can participate through reading, crafts and activities. Teen librarians will bring activities specifically for older kids on a different schedule.
The Library’s Book Bike will also visit the parks in connection with the Summer Food Services Program. Through the Book Bike, youth can check out books, get a library card, and receive information about programs at the Library.
