The City of Evanston, at the direction of the City Council Planning & Development Committee, is facilitating a community meeting to gather input on the proposed amendments to the Inclusionary Housing Ordinance (IHO). The IHO will result in additional affordable housing units to maintain an inclusive community for all residents. We need all perspectives on affordable housing issues to be represented at the meeting, including community members, developers, lenders and real estate professionals, in order to make the amendment strong, effective and beneficial to Evanston.
We hope you or a representative from your agency/organization will join us for this very important policy-making meeting. Community needs, developer incentives and the impact on financing real estate developments will all be considered.
The meeting will take place on Monday June 29, 2015 at 6:30pm in the Parasol Room on the 4th floor of the Morton Civic Center, 2100 Ridge Avenue.
Please RSVP to bnewman@cityofevanston.org (or reply to this email) by 5pm on Thursday, June 25. Thank you.
