In light of its successful 2014 season, Foster Dance Studios (FDS), has embarked on a new year of expansion.

This summer, FDS will break ground on a 4,000-square-foot addition, will add
a classical ballet training program and hip-hop dance company to its repertoire.

FDS will also send a dozen of its finest students to prestigious dance programs and colleges across the country.

Executive Director Kathryn Ebert says, “With our Artistic Director Ronn Stewart’s progressive vision for excellence and the support of the City of Evanston, our dedicated parents and talented students, we are kicking off an exciting year ahead.”

Construction, which began this April, will more than double the studio’s current size. A 1,650-square-foot professional studio will be added to the building’s first floor space and a second-floor expansion will include several small rehearsal studios and a study room for students.

With a rapidly growing student population since its launch in 2011, FDS administrators say they believe the addition will transform FDS’ future.
