Applications for funding from the City’s Mental Health Board (MHB) and Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds will be combined for fiscal year 2016. The CDBG application process for Public Services funding began on June 22; the process for Public Facilities and Infrastructure (capital projects) and Housing will open July 6.
CDBG-PS and MHB funds are allocated annually for programs and services that address the needs of Evanston’s at-risk residents, primarily lower income individuals and families. Applicants may apply for CDBG-PS, MHB, or both using this single application.
To be considered for funding, an organization’s representative must attend one of two pre-application orientation meetings. All applicants must complete and submit the pre-application in ZoomGrants by 4 p.m. on July 10.
Applicants will be notified via an email from ZoomGrants if they are approved or denied for a full application by noon on July 22. Those approved may begin work on their application immediately afterward. Full applications must be completed and submitted in ZoomGrants by 4 p.m. on Aug. 21 to be considered for either CDBG-PS or MHB funds.
Complete information and access to the application are available at www.cityofevanston.org/grantapplications. Applicants may call or text 311 for assistance in accessing or completing the documents.
