Receive 5 percent discount on season hockey fees by registering before Aug. 16, 2015

It’s almost time to lace up the skates and drop the puck on the 2015-16 Evanston Wildkits hockey season. Registration is now open for travel and high school hockey players; and the conditioning, tryouts and “Dog Days” travel camp schedule has been set. The Evanston Junior Wildkits offers travel hockey to Mite children (birth years 2007 and younger); for information about the Junior Wildkits Mite travel hockey program, go to www.juniorwildkits.com or contact Dominic Turcotte.

Conditioning and Tryouts: Register now for conditioning and tryouts. Before taking the ice, skaters must register and pay the $165 fee for conditioning and tryouts. To register, each player needs a USA Hockey number for the 2015-16 season. USA Hockey registration is now open and you can obtain a number for the 2015-16 season immediately.

Travel Camp (“Dog Days”): Evanston Hockey also offers an optional “Dog Days” travel camp that’s designed for travel players and house players who are interested in considering travel hockey for the upcoming season. The fee is $85; you can register for the camp at the same time you register for conditioning and tryouts.

Early Bird Registration Discount: If you register a player(s) before Aug. 16, 2015, each registered child will receive a 5 percent discount on travel and high school player fees for the upcoming season in addition to any other discounts that may apply (such as a goalie discount or multiple-child discount).

Travel Program Fees: Evanston Hockey is a non-profit hockey organization, and one of our top goals is to ensure that high school and travel hockey remains accessible to people from all income ranges. The volunteer board works hard to keep costs steady while meeting expenses. Travel hockey fees for the 2015-16 season are as follows: Squirt ($3,190); PeeWee ($3,520); Bantam ($3,850); Junior Varsity ($4,125); Varsity ($4,400); and High School Girls ($2,050 for single-rostered players; $1,050 for double-rostered players).

NEW THIS SEASON: Included in the dues is a new agreement with PrecisionMultisport to provide off-ice conditioning for all Evanston Hockey travel players. The agreement includes one session per week for Squirt through High School players during the 2015-16 season and beyond. Travel players interested in an additional day of training each week would receive discounted rates. In the event that a player has a separate membership with Precision Multisport (outside of Evanston Hockey), Precision will not charge those membership rates during the season.

Installment Plan: Evanston Hockey offers installment plans as well as hockey scholarships to families who are in need. To apply for a scholarship for the 2015-16 travel and high school hockey season, please fill out the dues adjustment form.
