The Piccolo Theatre board of directors has named Michael Graham the new artistic director of the Piccolo Theatre Ensemble after a three-month search. David W.M. Kelch, founding member of the theatre ensemble, has served as interim artistic director since last August. The Piccolo Theatre Ensemble will continue in its mission to make people laugh, producing only live comedy productions for all ages.

Mr. Graham was a co-founder and Artistic Director of Chicago’s Appetite Theatre, where he produced, directed, wrote, and acted. He also developed new works through Appetite’s “Bruschetta” short play festival.

His work as a director has been seen at Dead Writers Theatre Collective, Halcyon Theatre, Hubris Productions, Citadel Theatre, The Side Project, Act One Studios, New Trier High School, and Pride Films and Plays.

He has also appeared on stage in several Piccolo Theatre productions.
