A ceremony on July 22 honored Evanston firefighters who have lost their lives in service to others. Pipers began and ended the ceremony; Fire Chief Greg Klaiber, Fire Chaplain David Jones and Mayor Elizabeth Tisdahl spoke. A bell was rung for the fallen firefighters.
