Community members are encouraged to attend the annual Evanston Lakeshore Arts Festival from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Aug. 1 and 2. This year, the festival returns to its original location, Dawes Park, located on Sheridan Road at Church Street. The event is free and open to the public.

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet artists and purchase their work, have fun at the Children’s Crafts Tent and participate in a silent art auction.
Attendees will also enjoy various genres of live music, including classical, jazz, blues, Chicago swing and Motown. A complete schedule of performances, appears at cityofevanston.org/lakeshore.
This year, the festival will host nine restaurants serving a variety of culinary delights, including gourmet pies, real fruit smoothies, crab cake platters, tandoori chicken, tamales and Greek shish kebobs.
