At its Aug. 6 meeting, the Rotary Club of Evanston honored Northwestern University football coach Pat Fitzgerald with its Community Service Award. Rotary president-elect Joe Brownlee presented the plaque to “Coach Fitz.” The Northwestern Wildcats open their season on Sept. 5 against Stanford at Ryan Field and play at home again the following Saturday against the Eastern Illinois Panthers.
