Joe Romano, president of Romano Wealth Management, was recently elected to the Board of Governors of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, the independent regulator for all securities firms doing business in the United States. During his three-year term, Mr. Romano will help make decisions that affect securities firms nationwide, as well as protect investors through efficient regulation and technology-based services.
Mr. Romano, an Evanston resident, follows in his father’s footsteps. Richard Romano, founder of the firm, served on the FINRA Board of Governors during the 1980s and 1990s.
