The annual event with issues of interest to the area’s aging population presented “The Power of Positivity – Strategies for Aging Gracefully,” on Sept. 17 at the Levy Center, 300 Dodge Ave.

Two experienced health professionals, Jennifer L. Smith and Yvonne Mitchell, shared their insights. Ms. Smith is a Senior Research Manager at Mather LifeWays Institute on Aging. Ms. Mitchell is a certified holistic life coach, life redesign and reinvention specialist and licensed workshop facilitator. She works with the City’s Long Term Care Ombudsman, Audrey Thompson.

The special presentation was organized and conducted by the Commission’s 13-member Long Term Care Committee in cooperation with co-sponsors North Shore Village, Foster Senior Club and the City of Evanston.
