Evanston’s Housing & Community Development Act Committee will hold a public meeting to hear comment on the City’s 2016 Action Plan on Tuesday, November 17, 7 p.m., in the Morton Civic Center, Room 2402. All interested community members are encouraged to attend.

The 2016 Action Plan outlines how the City’s estimated 2016 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), Home Investment Partnerships (HOME), and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) entitlement funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), along with program income and unspent CDBG funds from prior years, will be used to improve the quality of life primarily for low- and moderate-income Evanston residents.

A draft of the 2016 Action Plan may be viewed at the Community Planning Division Office, Room 3000, Morton Civic Center, 2100 Ridge Ave., or online at cityofevanston.org/2016actionplan.

The 30-day comment period for the City’s 2016 Action Plan opened on Monday, October 19 and closes on Tuesday, November 17.
