The third annual Trick or Treat Trot will take place on Sunday, Oct. 25 at 9
a.m. The event, the fastest 6K in Illinois, promises to draw some of the top
athletes in the area but retains its family-friendly status with the inclusion
of various kids races with a range of age-appropriate distances. A portion of
all proceeds benefit the Foundation 65 charity in Evanston.

The Flying Turkey 5K presented by NorthShore University HealthSystem encourages
runners to start their Thanksgiving on an active note for the fifth consecutive
year on Nov. 26 at 9 a.m. The event annually draws over 2,000 participants and
benefits the Harvest Food Pantry, Foundation 65 and Evanston Swims. A coinciding
food drive also collects canned goods for the Harvest Food Pantry.
