The board of directors of Evanston Community Foundation (ECF) has appointed Monique Brunson Jones as its new President and CEO, effective Nov. 2.
ECF board chair Mike Brody said, “On the eve of the Foundation’s 30th anniversary, Monique brings the right combination of experience, skills, and passion to lead the Foundation into its next exciting period of growth and development. She joins a dynamic organization with experienced, creative staff and a committed board.”
Ms. Jones is currently the director of programs at the Chicago Foundation for Women, where she provides leadership to a staff of 14 and a budget of $3.8 million. She has managed its grant program, which awards annual grants of $2.5 million, and worked collaboratively with staff there to raise funds and develop major gifts.
Ms. Jones said, “I’m humbled and excited to lead the ECF team and engage the Evanston community in the next phase of growth. I’m looking forward to the opportunities that await and am appreciative of the vote of confidence I’ve received thus far.”
