Brue Coffee will celebrate its grand opening in Main Street Commons all day Nov. 19, with live music, special discounts, prizes, free samples and more. Mayor Elizabeth Tisdahl and the Evanston Chamber of Commerce plan to welcome guests with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony at 2 p.m.
Revitalizing a space that a coffee franchise once occupied at 2438 Main St., Brue Coffee promises to waft more than an inviting aroma from its fresh and locally roasted beans; it embraces a commitment to both quality and community.
With beans from Asado Coffee Roasters, Brue honors the characteristics and freshness of its coffee by attentively crafting each cup. Trained baristas create almost any imaginable espresso drink of choice, and coffee is prepared every hour in carefully calibrated batch brewers. Customers may opt for Brue’s specialty pourover drink which.
“We roast our carefully selected coffee in small batches, combining passion and science, resulting in the highest quality roasted beans available,” says Asado founder Kevin Ashtari.
Tea drinkers will also find a home at Brue. Mad Monk Tea, from a small independent company whose founders hand pick loose-leaf tea from the mountainous regions of China and Taiwan, is proudly served at Brue.
Hungry patrons can choose from among Brue’s locally baked goods, delivered fresh every morning from Noir de Ebene and Bennison’s Bakery.
