Local artists and arts organizations are invited to apply for the City of Evanston’s Cultural Fund Grant Program, which provides financial assistance to not-for-profit arts organizations and projects. Applications must be submitted via online forms, which are posted at cityofevanston.org/culturalfund, by Jan. 29.

Applicants may only apply for one of the three grant categories: Grants to Organizations, awards up to $4,000; Special Programs and Projects, awards up to $4,000; and Individual Artist Projects, awards up to $2,000. All projects must take place in Evanston in order to successfully qualify for a grant.

The Evanston Arts Council and City of Evanston staff will present a free Grant Writing Technical Assistance Workshop to assist artists and arts organizations with applying for a Cultural Fund Grant. All applicants are encouraged to attend one of the two workshop sessions, at 10 a.m. on Dec. 12 and at 6 p.m. on Dec. 17 in the Morton Civic Center, 2100 Ridge Ave.

Anyone wishing special considerations, such as sign language interpretation or Braille translation, may call 847-859-7835 at least one week prior to the meeting date.

The Cultural Fund Grant application must be completed and submitted online only. More information is available at cityofevanston.org/culturalfund; questions may be addressed to Cultural Arts Coordinator Jennifer Lasik, 847-859-7835 or jlasik@cityofevanston.org.
