Ikenga (Ike) Ogbo

City Health and Human Services Department Director Evonda Thomas-Smith recently announced the appointment of Ikenga (Ike) Ogbo to the position of Public Health Manager.

Mr. Ogbo, who holds a B.S. in biology and a master’s degree in public health from the University of Illinois, is a licensed environmental health practitioner, a certified lead assessor and a registered environmental health specialist. Mr. Ogbo began his work with the City as an Environmental Health Practitioner in 2008 after working in a similar capacity at the McLean County Health Department in Illinois.

As the Public Health Manager, Mr. Ogbo’s responsibilities will include the direct supervision of staff who perform inspections for
activities and programs of the Health and Human Services Department.
