Seventh Ward Alderperson Jane Grover has announced that she will leave office on Thursday, December 31, 2015 to become the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning’s (CMAP) Outreach Principal. In her new position,

Ms. Grover will lead the agency’s engagement with regional elected officials, civic and business groups for its comprehensive and coordinated planning initiatives. CMAP is the official regional planning organization for seven northeastern Illinois counties which developed and now guides implementation of metropolitan Chicago’s comprehensive regional plan, GO TO 2040. “I look forward to serving our larger, regional community by helping to advance CMAP’s mission,” said Grover.

Ms. Grover has served as 7th Ward alderperson since being elected in 2009. “There is no better community than Evanston to do the important work of local public service and it has been a privilege and honor to serve. I have loved this job. Thank you to Evanston residents for the opportunity, to our incomparable Mayor Tisdahl, my wonderful City Council colleagues, and this City’s extraordinary staff,” said Ms. Grover.
