Peter Butler, a grade-level social worker at Evanston Township High School, received the University of Chicago School of Social Service Administration Excellence in Field Education Award. He was recognized for his exceptional field instruction with interns, who submitted his nomination to the award committee.

Nomination materials praised Mr. Butler’s work in 2014-15 to educate the next generation of school social workers. He received the award at a recognition event in the fall of 2015.

“Your dedication to teaching through reflective supervision is nothing short of inspiring,” remarked Jennifer Meade, Director of Social Work at the SSA of the University of Chicago. “I wish every field instructor could care as much, and do as much for their students, as you do.”
