Jane Grover’s last day as alderperson of the Seventh Ward is Dec. 31. Mayor Elizabeth Tisdahl has scheduled a meeting for Seventh Ward residents at 7 p.m. on Jan. 12 in the Parasol Room of the Civic Center, 2100 Ridge Ave. At that meeting, residents can discuss the qualities they would like to see in the new alderman.
So far, seven people have indicated an interest in filling the position for the remainder of the term, which expires in 2017: Carl Bova, Lori Keenan, Todd Kihm, Eleanor Revelle, Mary Rosinski, Spencer Stern, and John Zbesko. The Mayor has asked anyone else interested in filling the vacancy to contact her office.
