On Jan. 8, at approximately 1:10 p.m., detectives from the Chicago Police Department contacted the Evanston police advising that they located a deceased male in Lake Michigan along the shoreline in the 300 block of Sheridan Road, said Commander Joseph Dugan of the Evanston Police Department. The Chicago Police detectives were in the area searching for a suicidal adult subject that was reported missing from Chicago. Clothing and personal items belonging to the missing person from Chicago was also located on the shoreline.  

Evanston detectives are currently conducting a death investigation into the matter. There are no signs of foul play, said the Commander. No further information is being released at this time, pending formal identification of the deceased and notification of next of kin.
