The City of Evanston has announced changes in service delivery and facility schedules in recognition of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday, Jan. 18.

There will be no solid waste or recycling collections on Jan. 18. All collections will occur one day later in the week. Thursday residential recycling and Friday condo recycling collections will both occur on Friday, Jan. 22.

The Morton Civic Center, Fleetwood-Jourdain Community Center, Noyes Cultural Arts Center, Levy Senior Center, Gibbs-Morrison Cultural Center and Evanston Ecology Center will be closed on Jan. 18.

The Chandler-Newberger Community Center will have open basketball from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Jan. 18, but all other classes are cancelled. The Robert Crown Community Center and all Evanston Public Library locations will be open on Jan. 18.

The 311 Service Center will be open 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.
