A poem about poetry was selected as one of the top 10 poems in the 2016 celebration of poetry by grade-school students. When Anthony LaRosa was a second-grader at Kingsley School, he wrote the poem “Poetry,” which was recently published.
At the Jan. 25 District 65 School Board meeting, Anthony read his poem, flanked by Kingsley teachers Pam Weir and Kathy Frank. District 65 Superintendent Paul Goren congratulated Anthony and presented him with a gift from the District.
