Evanston’s public buildings will be brightened with local artwork thanks to the City’s new Public Art Loan (PAL) program, which matches Evanston artists with City-owned facilities to display their work.

Artists interested in having their work displayed for approximately one year are invited to fill out an application and upload samples of their work online, at cityofevanston.org/publicart. If selected, the samples will be reviewed by City staff who have expressed an interest in having artwork displayed in their facility’s public spaces, including hallways, conference rooms, reception areas, and more. Community centers, police and fire stations, Evanston’s water treatment facility, and other public buildings are eligible for the program.

Participating artists will receive an honorarium of $150 if their work is on display for more than nine months, and will also have their work featured on the City’s social media channels.

This program is being coordinated by Cultural Arts Coordinator Jennifer Lasik. For questions, please call 847-859-7835 or email jlasik@cityofevanston.org.
