Four students from Evanston Township High School were honored by the Kiwanis Club of Evanston in February to recognize their achievements in fine arts. Among those students recently receiving the Ted Van Zelst Award were Norberto Aleman-Padilla, Steven Emrich, Darya Geary and Carly Korleski.
The students were introduced by Marla Seibold, ETHS Visual Arts teacher, at a Kiwanis recognition event where they talked about their diverse artistic abilities as well as academic interests that included science, engineering and architecture.
The Kiwanis Club of Evanston has served the Evanston community for 95 years with a primary focus on youth and children in the Evanston area. Each student received a certificate of appreciation, a book on leadership and a gift certificate to Barnes & Noble.
