Evanston police detectives arrested a Chicago man on Feb. 28 in connection with a robbery that occurred on Jan. 9, 2016 at Aldi Foods, 2211 Oakton St., said Perry Polinski of the Evanston Police Department.
The man was charged with armed robbery, a class X felony. He allegedly robbed an Aldi’s clerk at gun point of register receipts totaling $1,575.59 in cash, said Mr. Polinski. Through witnesses, video and physical evidence, police detectives following developed information leading to the arrest, said Mr. Polinski.
