At Bessie Rhodes School of Global Studies, the evening of March 3 was full of questions. Among the questions posed by students in kindergarten through eighth grade were “How Does Color Influence Memory?” “Can Music Give You Energy?” and “Is Ice Cream a Liquid or a Solid?”

Each student or group of students demonstrated the answer to a chosen question by showing the steps taken to answer it. Parents, friends and family members were able to learn what kind of liquid explodes most when Mentos are put into it, which liquid will decompose fruit the fastest, the best ratio of nitrogen and carbon for composting and how to build a moving train without electricity.
