On March 14, members of the Evanston Police Department’s special operations group executed a search warrant for narcotics in the 1200 block of Forest Avenue, said Deputy Chief Jay Parrott of the Evanston Police Department. This search warrant was the result of neighbors complaining about illegal drug sales taking place on the block out of a single family home.

Evanston police while investigating the complaint utilized an undercover officer who purchased drugs from the suspect who resided in the home, said the Duputy Chief, adding that this occurred on two separate occasions. During the search, police recovered approximately 35 grams of cannabis and seized a small amount of U.S. currency that is believed to be proceeds from drug sales, he said.

The suspect, a 20-year old male, was arrested and charged with two counts of delivery of a controlled substance, in addition to possession with intent to deliver cannabis and unlawful possession of cannabis. An arrest photo is shown below for official media publications only, said the Deputy Chief.
