On April 3, 2016 at approximately 3:35 p.m., police officers were dispatched to the 1900 block of Dodge Avenue after receiving calls that a man had been shot. On the scene, police located a 20-year old Evanston resident who was shot in both his left and right thighs. The victim was transported to Evanston Hospital for treatment of his non-life threatening injuries, said Commander Joseph Dugan of the Evanston Police Department.
The victim told police that two men in dark clothing shot him from the west alley, said Commander Dugan. Police recovered three 9mm shell casings from the alley. Evanston detectives are conducting an investigation into the incident.
