The Noyes Upstairs Gallery will offer an exhibition titled “Shakespeare By Design,” opening on April 10 and running until May 9. 

Inspired by the region-wide Shakespeare 400 project, which celebrates the 400 years since his death, the exhibition will showcase set, costume, graphic and lighting design by local theaters ranging from the Chicago Shakespeare Theatre to ETHS’s stagecraft class.

The opening reception, from 2-5 p.m. on April 10, will feature scenes performed by ETHS’s Upstart Crows, the Shakespearean after-school club, and a presentation by The Viola Project, a local non-profit which empowers girls through Shakespeare.Refreshments will be provided.  

Everyone is encouraged to come in Shakespearean garb to the opening
