Supporters of the Youth Job Center (YJC) celebrated the agency’s 33rd year of programs by participating in the annual Gala, “Odyssey: Experience the View” last month. More than 270 guests attended the gala in Chicago, celebrating the success and expansion of YJC’s programs and raising more than $120,000. The funds will be used to continue supporting the agency’s ongoing programs in Evanston and strategic expansion in Chicago in partnership with Chicago Public Schools. In 2014, the YJC expanded its high school programs in addition to Evanston Township High School, to include Sullivan High School in Rogers Park. It will further expand in 2015 by beginning a partnership with Gage Park High School.

Hosts for the evening included Joe Flanagan of Acquirent; Dr. Marcus Campbell, Principal and Assistant Superintendent of ETHS; Chad Adams, Principal, Sullivan High School; and Brian Metcalf, Principal, Gage Park High School.
