Evanston 2016 season beach tokens are now available for purchase. Tokens are available at the Morton Civic Center, 2100 Ridge Ave., on weekdays between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m., and at Evanston recreation community centers. Most centers offer extended evening and/or weekend office hours; call 311 for details. Starting Saturday, May 21, tokens will also be available for purchase at the Dempster Street Beach office between 10 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. Cash, personal checks and credit cards are accepted.
Evanston’s five public swimming beaches open for the season Memorial Day weekend on Saturday, May 28, 2016.
A beach token, also known as a season pass, is valid from the time of purchase through Labor Day, Monday, September 5, 2016. Tokens will be sold at a discounted rate of $26 for Evanston and Skokie residents and $42 for nonresidents through Friday, June 3. On Saturday, June 4, the price for a beach token will increase to $34 for Evanston and Skokie residents and $58 for nonresidents.
Daily beach admission is also available, and may be purchased at beach entrances. Daily admission is $6 for children age 1-11 years and $8 for those 12 years and older. Admission for children under age 1 is free.
To ensure that everyone has access to Evanston’s beautiful beaches, the Mayor’s Super Summer Recreation Program includes free beach admission through a 10-punch pass for Evanston teens, age 13-18 years old. Teens may pick up their pass beginning Monday, May 16 at Evanston recreation community centers and the main Evanston Public Library, 1703 Orrington Ave. Please contact 311 for details.
Additionally, Evanston residents who meet the income requirement are eligible to participate in beach token fee assistance and the free beach token program. To learn more about the fee assistance program, visit cityofevanston.org/recreationscholarship.

Free beach days for Evanston residents will be held at Clark Street Beach on Mondays from July 11 through August 29, 2016.

Skokie Season Pool Pass Discounts
The City of Evanston and the Skokie Park District have a reciprocal arrangement that allows Skokie residents to purchase season beach tokens at Evanston resident rates and allows Evanston residents to purchase Skokie season pool passes at Skokie resident rates. Pool passes are valid at both the Skokie Water Playground and Devonshire Aquatic Center. For more information, visit skokieparks.org or call 847-674-1500.
