A video recently surfaced “implicating ETHS staff members in an alleged locker theft in the gym wing,” said a statement issued by Marcus Campbell, assistant superintendent of Evanston Township High School. “We are investigating the matter thoroughly with the Evanston Police Department. ETHS will take appropriate actions as more details become available.

“ETHS is taking these allegations very seriously and we understand the concerns of students and families as we continue to gather information. Anyone with information related to the alleged thefts should contact the ETHS Deans’ Office at 847-424-7900.”

Commander Joseph Dugan of the Evanston Police Department said police have seen the video which appears to have been taken from inside locker. He said police know who the people captured on the video are, and that police officers who are school resource officers at ETHS, are investigating the matter.
