The Rotary Club of Evanston’s long-running PizzaFest fundraiser for local charities will be held May 17-18 this year with a new twist: delivery of pizzas by local Rotarians.
Organized in partnership with Gigio’s Pizza, 1001 Davis St., the annual event this year will provide home delivery of pizzas from 5-7 p.m. on May 17, along with the usual all-you-can-eat pizza night from 4:30-8:30 p.m. on May 18.
The Rotary Club of Evanston has hosted the annual event for many years in downtown Evanston, raising tens of thousands of dollars for local charities through it.
“We’ve had tremendous response to PizzaFest and this year we wanted to give more people the opportunity to participate via delivery,” said PizzaFest Co-Chair Dave Stumpf. “This provides a way for them to do good for the community while enjoying a great meal at home.”
Proceeds from both nights of PizzaFest will benefit several not-for-profit organizations in Evanston: the James B. Moran Center for Youth Advocacy, the Infant Welfare Society of Evanston, Mudlark Theater, the Ridgeville Park District Foundation and the Second Baptist Church of Evanston.
Pizzas can be ordered for delivery at 847-328-0990 or gigiospizzaev.com and use the code ‘Rotary’ to support PizzaFest. Tickets to PizzaFest can be purchased at the door or by calling 312-805-1610 or 224-425-9812, or by visiting evanstonrotary.org.
