On May 12 at 7:30 p.m., students in the Freshman Concert Band, Symphonic Band, and Wind Symphony will entertain with music ranging from classical – Tchaikovsky’s “Peter and the Wolf” – to Klezmer music, Celtic dances by Grainger, and the rousing ETHS Cheer Song. Matthew Bufis, Director of Bands, will direct.
On May 17, beginning at 7p.m., the Choral Concert will highlight various choral groups including the Concert Choir, Chorale, and Bazao A Cappella.
The following evening, May 18, at 7:30 p.m., the ETHS String Orchestra and Symphony Orchestra will present a concert featuring classical and contemporary favorites. Three senior soloists, all pianists, will perform, as well. Mitchell Estberg will play “Piano Concerto No. 1 in G Minor” by Mendelssohn, Lydia Melnikov will play Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue”, and Melissa Tan will play “Piano Concerto No. 2 in G Minor” by Saint-Saëns.
