Early this morning, June 20 at approximately 12:57 a.m. Evanston police officers who were on a deployment patrol in the area of Lyons Street and Dodge Avenue heard several gunshots south of their location. Upon checking, officers located two gunshot victims at a residence in the 1700 block of Dodge Avenue, said Commander Joseph Dugan of the Evanston Police Department. One victim, a 19-year old male Evanston resident was shot in the left bicep. The second victim, a 17-year old juvenile male Skokie resident, was shot in the right thigh. Both victims were transported to Evanston hospital for treatment.  

A third victim, a 17 year old juvenile male Evanston resident, came into the hospital with a wound from a bullet fragment to his left hamstring area.

None of the injuries are considered life threatening, said the Commander.

The preliminary investigation reveals that the victims were standing near a residence on the west side of Dodge Avenue, and the shots came from between two houses on the east side of Dodge Avenue. There is no suspect description at this time. Detectives are continuing their investigation into the incident, said the Commander.
