Classic rock from the 1960s to 1980s, the syncopated beat of Latin music and the sounds of a New Orleans-style brass band are among the offerings of a midday outdoor summer concert series on the Northwestern University campus overlooking Lake Michigan’s scenic shoreline.
Free and open to the public, “Lunch on the Lake” programs begin at noon each Wednesday through July 27 on the East Lawn of Norris University Center, 1999 Campus Drive.
In the event of rain, the scheduled concert will be held on the ground floor of Norris Center. On the day of the event, information about the location is available by calling 847-491-2300.
Concertgoers have the option of bringing their own lunch or buying a “Lunch on the Lake” meal between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. for $9.
