Valentia Sundell, center, received the Girl Scout Gold Award at the ceremony on June 4.
Her project, Val’s Guide, chicagolandcolleges.com, is for students who have difficulty deciding among various colleges. It has a fillable worksheet that allows the student to compare and weigh all the factors side by side, thus leading to a better decision.
Valentia’s new website was originally created to guide students interested in attending a local college in the Chicagoland area and she used her own college comparison worksheet to help her decide which college to attend.
She was an Evanston Girl Scout for 12 years. The Gold Award is the highest award a Girl Scout can earn.
