Sherman United Methodist Church presents “I Need You to Survive,” the second annual concert by Tramaine Parker and Friends at 6 p.m. on Aug. 7 at 2214 Ridge Ave. These singers are alumni of the Chicago Children’s Choir, Grammy-nominated Fisk Jubilee Singers, Fisk University Choir, and Sherman’s Choir.  

Some of the vocalists have performed with the Chicago Symphony, the Lyric Opera, at Ravinia, the Black Ensemble Theater, and the Harris Theater. Some have sung on radio and television, at Carnegie Hall, toured in Africa, Russia, South Korea, and Argentina.

Admission is free but there will be a freewill offering.
