For more than 25 years, the Taste of Armenia Festival Street Fair sponsored by St. James Armenian Church, 816 Clark St., has been a favorite end-of-summer event.

On Aug. 28, the festival took place on a beautiful, sunny afternoon with delicious Armenian cooking including charcoal-grilled shish kebabs, homemade specialties such as grapeleaf sarma, tabouleh, hummus, and authentic pastries. There was dancing all afternoon to traditional melodies performed by local Armenian bands and plenty of games and activities for kids.
